Your Uber app vs. GigReal

The Uber Driver app is built to show what you grossed. GigReal is built to show what you kept.

Uber Driver app shows
  • Gross fares and tips
  • Online and booked hours
  • Trip history
  • Weekly earnings summary
GigReal adds
  • Net take-home after gas, miles & expenses
  • Real pay per hour — downtime counted
  • Real pay per mile, every trip
  • IRS-compliant mileage log & tax-ready export

How much do Uber drivers really make per hour?

The number on your Uber weekly summary is gross earnings — before your car's costs. Your real hourly rate is what's left after fuel, maintenance, and the miles you put on your vehicle, divided by all the hours you were online, including the time between trips.

GigReal calculates this automatically. It imports your Uber earnings with AutoSync, logs every work mile with GPS, subtracts your tracked expenses, and splits your time into paid trip time versus waiting time. The result is three numbers Uber doesn't show:

  • Net per online hour — your true hourly wage, downtime included
  • Net per mile — whether a trip actually paid for the distance
  • Take-home after expenses — what actually stays in your pocket

And with Trip Identifier, you see the real pay per hour and per mile of an Uber offer before you accept it — as a Live Activity, while the offer is still on screen. Color-coded, so a bad trip is obvious at a glance.

Uber drivers ask us

Does GigReal work with Uber?+

Yes. Connect your Uber driver account with AutoSync and GigReal imports your earnings, trips, and miles automatically after every shift. Trip Identifier also works on Uber offers — it shows the real pay per hour and per mile of an offer before you accept it.

Will connecting GigReal get me deactivated by Uber?+

GigReal is a read-only tracking tool, and no major platform has publicly documented closing accounts for using income-tracking apps. That said, GigReal can't speak for how any platform enforces its own terms — review Uber's current policy if you have concerns.

Does GigReal store my Uber password?+

No. You sign in on a secure screen, the connection is read-only, and GigReal never stores your Uber password. You can disconnect anytime in Manage Account → Linked Accounts, and data you've already imported stays in your account.

Does it work with Uber Eats?+

Your Uber account connection covers your Uber earnings, and Trip Identifier for Uber Eats offers is in beta. It works best on Uber rideshare and Lyft today.

What exactly does AutoSync import from Uber?+

Fares, tips, and adjustments matched to each trip, plus trip details, miles, and hours — verified from the source, feeding your real per-hour and per-mile numbers with no manual entry.

Can I use GigReal for Uber outside the US?+

Not yet — GigReal is US-only today. The international waitlist is open, and Trip Identifier will be the first feature to go international. Country launches are ranked by waitlist demand.
